Prior to joining Martin Clearwater & Bell LLP, Kerona began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Queens County, New York. During her years of service, she demonstrated exceptional trial skills, overseeing the investigation and trial of a diverse range of misdemeanor and felony cases.
In 2023, Kerona received the prestigious Best Lawyers®: Ones to Watch recognition for Medical Malpractice Law – Defendants. This honor is a testament to her outstanding professionalism, as acknowledged by her peers early in her career.
Kerona is a member of the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers and has served as a member and past Executive Board officer of Amistad Long Island Black Bar. Her engagement in these organizations showcases her commitment to the legal profession and her desire to contribute to its growth and diversity.
Kerona graduated with honors from Washington University in St. Louis in 2004 and completed her legal studies at New York Law School in 2007. While in law school, she served on the Executive Board of the Moot Court Association as an Executive Editor and was elected to the National Order of the Barristers. She is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
