The Mansfield Rule, established by the Diversity Lab, sets specific criteria that organizations must meet to demonstrate their commitment to diversity and inclusion. The goal of the Mansfield Rule is to boost the representation of historically marginalized lawyers in law firm leadership by broadening the candidate pool for promotions, senior-level hiring, and significant leadership roles.
To achieve the Midsize Mansfield Certification Plus status, our firm has to show that:
· Women, Minority, and LGBTQ+ Lawyers: At least 30% of the candidate pool for promotions, senior-level hiring, and significant leadership roles consists of women, underrepresented minority lawyers, and LGBTQ+ lawyers.
· Tracking and Evaluation: We have a process in place to track and evaluate our progress in meeting these diversity goals.
· Regular Check-ins: We conduct regular check-ins with our firm's leadership to review our diversity efforts and discuss areas for improvement.
MCB remains committed to moving the needle on diversity in law firm leadership and we have renewed our participation in the 2023-2024 Midsize Mansfield Certification process.
